One day we drove along the coast south of Ocean Beach.
The road took us to Point Loma, where the road ends. Loma means hill...and we were high above the water.
Cabrillo was the first European to sail into San Diego Harbor.
We learned that this grey fox is the only canine that can climb trees! How lucky is that!!!
From Point Loma we looked across the entrance to the harbor and saw Coronado Island, which has a wonderful dog beach. On the beach in the distance you can see the large, white Hotel del Coronado. Downtown San Diego is at the top of the picture.
Point Loma Lighthouse
Fort Rosecrans National Cemetery has over 101,000 graves, facing either San Diego Harbor or the Pacific Ocean.
On the way home we stopped at the dog park!!! This dog looks like me...I'm the one on the bottom, with his leg in my mouth!
When I'm not in my crate, I like the small space between the couch and the footstool...on the furry rug!
Can you see me catching my green frisbee? This is a frame from a video momma took. If dad can make a good throw, I always catch it!!! He has problems when the frisbee gets covered with wet sand and when the wind is blowing!!! But I don't mind. It's fun just racing the other dogs to get it.
I'm not sure what the words on the mug mean....but it says Who Rescued Who? It's dad's favourite coffee mug.

Any famous people burried at that National Cemetary?
ReplyDeleteThere aren't any that I had heard of. There are many Medals of Honour recipients and sailors killed during enlistment, as well as soldiers killed when the US fought to take California from Mexico.
ReplyDeleteLOVE your pictures and your cute comments!! Looks like you are having a "Ball" with beautiful places to visit and great weather!
